Cookie policy

Leading does not use any analytics tool that sets cookies (such as Google Analytics). The measurement tool we use works without cookies and without any individual identifier, so no cookie consent banner is needed at this stage.

The only cookies we use are strictly necessary for the service to work, and are therefore exempt from consent under the rules on cookies (in France, as set out by the CNIL; in the United Kingdom, regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, as applied by the ICO):

• Session cookie (Supabase authentication): keeps you signed in to your account.
• Anonymous session cookie (30 days): keeps the CV you are editing before you create an account, so that it is not lost when you sign up.
• Stripe technical cookies: needed only during checkout, and set by Stripe on its own payment page.
• Language cookies (NEXT_LOCALE and leading_last_lang): remember the language you have chosen for the site, and the language of the last public page you visited, so that your account pages are shown in the right language. They are kept for one year.
• Storage in your browser: the editor keeps a working copy of the CVs you open, and the highlight colour you choose, in your browser’s local storage, so that they are not lost if you reload the page. This data stays on your device.

If an analytics tool that uses cookies (Google Analytics or similar) is added in future, this page will be updated and the site will ask for your consent, through a consent banner, before any non-essential cookie is set.
